Save the date! Sunday, November 24, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m., the Community of Friends in Action is holding a fund raiser at the Legion Hall, 399 Broad Avenue, in Leonia, 07605. Headlining the event is the well-known Leonia band, Still Standing.
Tickets are $10 per person, or $20 for couples and families. There will also be a marimba, guitar, Guatemalan folk dancers, and lots of time for dancing! Beautiful crafts from Guatemala will be available for purchase, with all of the proceeds going to great causes–50% to CoFiA, and the rest to Grupo Cajola, Guatemala and Morristown. And of course food and drink and great conversation.
Come to support the work of the Community of Friends in Action, learn about what is happening right now, and make a difference in the lives of many people in our communities and beyond.
